We meet at Art of Bicycle Trips and take an shuttle out of Bangalore to beat the traffic and start the ride at Country Club.

Brief you about the trips safety guidelines, allocate bikes and have you sign the mandatory indemnity bond. Later we set out on safari through the quiet country roads, farms villages, a small dam, small shrines and the rocky landscape of Ramnagara. We visit the 400 years old Big Banyan Tree spread across 3 acres – this is not too far from the starting point. We ride past the Manchinbele dam and reach Ramanagaram.

We make our lunch stop at Kamat Lokaruchi, a Malgudi-style restaurant, and have a taste of real Kannadiga cuisine. The waiters flit here busily in the traditional clothes and shower dollops of ghee, rice and more onto your plate – the experience itself is delicious!

We use the shuttle to reach Channapatna, the toy-town where wooden and lacquerware are crafted toys. You can also pick up souvenirs from here – there will be no trouble taking these back as we shuttle back to Bangalore.
